23rd January 2023: We are extremely proud to feature in a recently published book (showing our “real life” solution) entitled “Climate Change Enterprise Risk Management” written by Martin Massey (Chair of the Institute of Risk Management’s Climate Change Special Interest Group). This is “A practical guide to reaching net zero goals”. Acies appears in Chapter 6 (“Building climate resilience”) and describes what we have achieved with our partner Previsico to become the first MGA to offer a flood warning service embedded within an insurance offering for UK small & medium sized commercial businesses.

When we launched Acies 18 months ago, we embarked on a strategy to build a business and a team which is technology and data lead, as well as “de-risking” exposures wherever we can to the benefit of our customers. By delivering this flood warning service (as part of our UK Property insurance policies) directly to our brokers and SME customers, we have achieved the first part of our plan to combine Acies’ “de-risking” business model with our Corporate Social & Environmental Responsibility. You can expect to see more innovative solutions coming from us.
